Insomnia Disorders
Insomnia refers to a group of sleep disorders wherein a person has trouble falling asleep or staying asleep which causes him/her to have an insufficient and unrefreshing sleep. Insomnia disorders are grouped into two depending on its cause
- PRIMARY INSOMNIA. This happens when you have trouble initiating sleep or you wake up a couple of times at night, but the cause of your sleeplessness is not connected to any health problem or other environmental factors.
- SECONDARY INSOMNIA. This type of insomnia only means that you are having this sleep problem because of something else. You may have a health problem like arthritis, cancer, asthma, other sleep disorders or you are in pain, or taking medications that may have caused your sleeping troubles.
