NEEDS
- There is a significant amount of information required from DMEs before insurance approval of PAP equipment and delivery, in many cases from disparate sources, leading to delays, and creating frustration for the patient and ordering physicians.
- There is lack of consistent system for referring provider (and patient) tracking of PAP delivery.
- There is lack of consistently available sleep specialists to refer patients who do not have an ordering physician, but who are in need of prescriptions for PAP equipment and supplies.
- There is difficulty for some providers (and patients) to access DMEs for new supplies.
